The GNLL Boys and Girls JV / Prep State Tournament is designed to provide a culminating experience where local junior-varsity and prep (9th-10th grade) teams can put themselves to the test and finish out the spring season in style.

The event provides: 
    •    Certified Officials
    •    Certified EMT's equipped with AED's 
    •    Professional Site Managers / Scorekeepers
    •    Mobile-responsive team statistics, standings, schedules, and updates. 
    •    A unique and well-liked single day format. 

Tournament Dates: 
Boys JV: Saturday, June 1, 2024, 8 AM-7PM.
Girls JV + Boys Prep: Sunday, June 2, 2024, 8 AM-7PM.

Location: McMurray Athletic Complex

Price: $800 per team 

Format: 3-game guarantee/pool play with two 22 minute halves and a two minute half time. Pool play with advancement to championship brackets. Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs. 

Eligibility: The tournament follows USA Lacrosse age & eligibility guidelines. USAL membership is NOT required for players and coaches.  

It is incredibly important for MSHSL teams to note that while the tournament is intended to serve as an end of season contest for the spring season, it must be run as a summer event. This is to ensure teams comply with MSHSL guidelines which restrict the number of competitions allowed in a single-season to 13 games. Coaches and team administrators should review MSHSL policies and check with athletic directors to ensure that they follow "out of season" guidelines. 

Team Registration Deadline: Friday May 10, 2024

*This tournament is limited to 24 Boys JV Teams, 8 Girls JV Teams, and 12 Boys Prep Teams. Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registrations received after the deadline are not guaranteed to be scheduled and will incur a $150 late fee.

A $250 deposit is required for each team registered. Deposits are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. Teams are not considered fully registered until deposit payments are received. The remaining balance is due no later than May 24, 2024.

Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, officials, EMT, field staff, equipment and league administration costs. Additional proceeds and sponsorships sustain, expand and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region.
