Jing Peng

Jing was born in China but grew up in Rochester, NY and Minneapolis. She is a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate where she played varsity soccer and club lacrosse. Since graduating with a Psychology degree in 2014 she has served as a high school lacrosse, soccer & strength and conditioning coach, worked full-time as a childhood reading specialist and pursued her passion for personal training and powerlifting.

Jing still plays lacrosse competitively and is actively involved with China Lacrosse and on the Women's National Team. She has coached for ACYLA, Minneapolis and Mounds View Girls' HS teams in the past. She has also served as the Girls Director for Mounds View Irondale Youth Lacrosse Association.

She is also a Sankofa Clinician for USA Lacrosse which aims to deliver quality lacrosse clinics to underrepresented communities to help increase overall participation in the sport and connect minority leaders and former players in the sport with the next generation of minority players. Along with this, she is an evaluator for USA Lacrosse's National Team Development Program.

When asked about the hiring, Jing said “I’m both incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity to be the Director of Leagues and Events and the chance to surround myself with passionate and like-minded people. As I close out my time at school and reflect, I realize that every path followed, even the unintentional, has opportunity for growth and a potential for impact. Nevertheless, do not hesitate to reach for your path when it calls you. Here’s to a new chapter with Homegrown Lacrosse!”

“The rest of the staff and I are extremely excited about what Jing’s leadership and hard work will bring to the GNLL and our community at large. Please help us in welcoming her.” - Aron Lipkin, Co-Founder and Executive Director.
